2. Health & Safety
· Fire Officer All groups using the Cheadle Community Theatre must appoint a fire officer. The officer should be aware at all times of how many individuals are occupied on the premises and the evacuation procedures incase of an emergency. If a fire should occur it is the fire officers responsibility to contact the emergency services. A standard announcement (informing the audience of procedures) is provided by us for use at the start of a show. To ensure a safe evacuation it is recommended that a fire marshal be appointed to each of the 5 main exit doors including the front of house exits as these will remain open for the duration of the show. Person(s) under the age of 18 It is the theatres policy that no person(s) under the age of 18 will undertake alterations to the stage fixtures, lighting or other theatre equipment. In addition no person under this age shall be asked or required to use a ladder / scaffold for whatever purpose.
· Smoking The school operates a non smoking policy throughout the entire building. This must be adhered to at all times. Designated smoking areas for both staff and guests are provided outside the building.
· Food and drink No food or drink must be consumed within the theatre itself. |

· Portable Appliance Testing To comply with legislation all equipment used in the theatre must be tested and display the appropriate up to date sticker. A PAT testing service is available from the school on request. Please enquire for more details.
